The Cameos

The Cameos are a talented eight-piece Oldies/Vocal Harmony group who create and perform their own unique renditions of the most popular songs of the 1950’s and 60’s with a little 70’s added for good measure! The Cameos group can trace its roots as far back as 1959 when its Originator, Roger Del Russo, organized its first members in the City of Newark, NJ performing first at High School dances and culminating with a 1995 “acapella” performance at New York’s infamous Carnegie Hall, where they delighted an audience numbering in the thousands! Upon his retirement in July of 2005, Roger formally named his close friend and Cameo Drummer, Paul Stuart, as the new leader of The Cameos! The Cameos have now added to their resume repeat performances at the PNC Art Center, Holmdel NJ for audiences of over 10,000 patrons where The Cameos opened up for The Duprees, Joe Piscopo; The NJPAC (New Jersey Performing Art Center) Newark, NJ opening up for Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons; The Cake Boss (Buddy Valastro), The Temptations, The Four Tops; Jimmy Gallagher of The Passions in Springfield, Massachusetts and repeat performances at The Commons Club in Bonita Springs, Florida. The Cameos also perform at multiple private and corporate functions across the tri-state area, including outdoor summer concerts…each and every year!
